I Balance My Life in the Garden 17.5"Hx15"Wx1.5"D

Part of my series “This is the Book We Never Wrote,” this piece draws inspiration from my personal essay about the healing qualities of nature. I tell the story of facing a life-changing trauma which happened at the same time that my garden had been planted by a landscaping company. Nurturing my new plants and trees seemed to soften the blow… I was struck by their beauty which reminded me that yes, life may bring sorrow but it also offers splendor, joy, and hope. Reeling from pain and grief, my new garden replenished me with life and a will to move forward. 
 
This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To highlight yet protect the three-dimensional elements of this work, I invested in non-glare Museum Acrylic as its cover.
