I live in a world I no longer know. Books banned, civil rights in reverse, women’s choices diminished, diversity and inclusivity battered. A foreign world in 2023. “Restricted” offers people in silhouette – people with no specific identity, no names and faces. Is this how they are seen by those who are closing the door on their basic rights?  This space of suppression and containment leaves no room to cultivate the empathy, acceptance, and compassion I used to know.
 
This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To highlight yet protect the three-dimensional elements of this work, I invested in non-glare Museum Acrylic as its cover.
