Sanctuary

"Sanctuary" is intended to draw the viewer towards multiple doors and spaces they must navigate before they reach a spiritual center. I researched many photos of churches to understand the feeling of being in an inner sanctum. 
 
The inspiration for this piece came from my own search for a higher power. I want to embrace peace, serenity, and acceptance of that God-like presence in my life. As with all of my work, I am using sculptural forms here to create spatial impact, compelling the viewer to enter the space.
