Secret Woods 22.50"Hx23.50"Wx2.0"D

A geometric, abstract paper sculpture, "Secret Woods" was inspired by a photo I took at Secret Woods Nature Center in Dania Beach, Florida. The Center is designed with boardwalks throughout, so visitors can walk through the beautiful space and get close to the natural species there. The spatial dynamics of pathways - like walkways, corridors, and ramps - intrigue me and pull me in. This particular walkway had branches of a beautiful trees hovering over and around it, and I tried to capture the canopy effect in this work.
 
This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To highlight yet protect the three-dimensional elements of this work, I invested in non-glare Museum Acrylic as its cover.
