Somewhere Between 20.50"Hx20.50"Wx2.0"D
"Somewhere Between" is an abstract, geometric sculpture, made of paper, depicting an ‘almost-but-not-quite real’ place. The 3D artwork offers an ambiguous world, 'somewhere between' authentic and imagined. I built in bas-relief to emphasize the spatial dynamics of the composition, with the goal of capturing a scene that stirs the senses. Intrigued by pathways and doorways, I created a yellow doorway in the center of this piece that invites the viewer into this imagined world.
This work is professionally framed and ready for hanging. The frame is white and the work floats atop a white mat. To highlight yet protect the three-dimensional elements of this work, I invested in non-glare Museum Acrylic as its cover.
